You have an EMDR therapist business, but one thing is stopping you. Visibility! You wait for clients to come but no one show up.

Nor your business number rings from clients asking for EMDR therapy. Nor your website form gets any EMDR therapy request submitted.

This is a serious thing for a private practice EMDR therapist. I can feel your pain.

No one wants to sit and wait for clients to come.

You may be the best EMDR therapy provider in your area but if your are not visible, the caseload will be zero to none. Just some from referrals.

So, what should be done to increase the caseload? A simple answer is “gain online visibility in your area”. Clients today will not come easy in this cut throat competition age.

You have to act smart and work actively to gain clients and visibility.

How to do this?

I am listing out 3 important and necessary tasks that you should do to gain more visibility online.

1- Create a GMB for EMDR therapy

GMB or google my business profile is a free platform provided by google for local businesses. Local businesses submit their business on their platform to gain clients in the local area.

It is the second feature that you see on a search page after google ads.

Whenever a prospective EMDR therapy client will be searching for EMDR therapy near me or city, after google ads, google show local businesses is its GMB feature.

This is a great platform provided by Google for local businesses. Those who are listed and ranked gets good quantity of cases from there.

If you will list your business and optimize it for GMB, you will too gain visibility and more clients.

2- Website SEO

Second thing to gain more visibility is do SEO of your website for important keywords like EMDR therapy + City, City + EMDR therapy, etc.

After GMB, local search results show up. So, a second opportunity to get clients organically. Not all people go to GMB. Some scroll to local results, and check websites to see details of therapists and then contact them.

As an EMDR therapist, having a local business website optimized for local EMDR practice terms is very necessary. Like GMB, an optimized EMDR therapy website can too bring a good number of cases organically.

On website, create a blog and post relevant articles like case studies, possible causes, tips, question pain points of existing clients, etc.

This will help you get clients which are super relevant.

3- Instagram

Instagram is a great platform to connect with your potential clients. What you can do is create an Instagram profile for your business and post regular content on it. Ex- pain points, possible triggering points, pacifying quotes, etc.

Don’t forgot to add relevant hashtags in the post.

These are the three important tasks that you should be doing to stay ahead from other local private practice EMDR therapists.

In this age of AI, staying visible is one of the most important task to keep getting clients in an organic way without spending on ads and aggressive marketing.

All these tasks that I have mentioned above takes few hours to do. You can even break these tasks into different work bracket.

Like on Monday, you can post a post on GMB, answer questions asked by users, and update reviews

On Tuesday, you can write blog article on your EMDR therapy website.

On Wednesday, you can schedule Instagram posts for the whole week. And so on..

I can understand that you might be feeling overwhelmed by all these tasks, but for enough visibility and organic marketing, these tasks are non-negotiable.

Keep husting and keep gaining more clients.
